The Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced limited edition metro cards featuring Ice Spice. These will be available at select subway stations in NYC.

The MTA cards featuring the New York native will be available at four subway stations throughout Manhattan and the Bronx. These stations include Fordham Rd (4 train), Fordham Rd (B/D trains), 34 St-Penn Station (A/C/E trains), and Times Sq–42 St (N/Q/R/W/S/1/2/3/7 trains).

The limited edition cards will cost $1, the same as the standard metro card. However, there are only 50,000 cards available for purchase. However, this isn’t MTA‘s first time releasing special edition cards. In 2022, a commemorative metro card to celebrate Notorious B.I.G’s 50 birthday was released. The rapper grew up in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. As a result, the MTA made these cards available at four subway stations in the borough.

These new edition metro cards will be used to promote the rapper’s debut album, Y2K. Furthermore, Ice Spice took to Instagram to announce that her album is complete, stating, “I finished recording ‘Y2K’ the album.” While there is no release date yet, it is expected to come later this year.

The Bronx native entered the public eye after her single, “Munch (Feelin’ U)” gained popularity on TikTok. As a result, she signed a record deal with Capitol Records. The rapper has since featured on numerous singles, including Taylor Swift’s “Karama,” PinkPantheress’s “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2,” and “Princess Diana” by Nicki Minaj. Additionally, she has been featured on the remix, “Fisherrr” by Cash Cobain and Bay Swag. Moreover, Ice Spice was also one of the opening acts for Doja Cats’ “The Scarlet Tour,” in addition to promoting her new single, “Gimme a Light.”

After a successful year, Ice Spice continued to receive four nominations for this year’s Grammy’s. She was nominated for Best New Artist, Best Rap Song, Best Song Written for Visual Media for “Barbie World,” and Best Pop Duo Performance for “Karma.”
