New Season Two Trailer for House of the Dragon Released
The fight for The Iron Throne continues. Max released the official trailer for House of the Dragon. The second season of the Game of Thrones prequel premieres June 16.
“Raise your banners. The official trailer is here,” the series’ official social media accounts announced on May 14 as they dropped the trailer for House of the Dragon’s upcoming season.

Based on author George R. R. Martin’s 2018 work Fire & Blood, the series tells the story of House Targaryen over two hundred years before the events of Game of Thrones.
The dramatic video provides viewers with a first look at the fantasy program’s second chapter. In it, audiences see the battling sides of House Targaryen prepare for war.
As Queen Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) and King Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney) amass power, loyalties are split between sides. Rhaenyra, now ousted from the throne, gears up alongside her husband and uncle Daemon (Matt Smith) to siege King’s Landing. The deposed queen explains, “Now, I find myself in an impossible position… The enemy usurped my throne.”
Meanwhile, Queen Alicent (Olivia Cooke) and Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifans) attempt to keep the reckless King Aegon in line while calling upon the other great houses to come to their side. “Proceed with caution,” the king’s mother urges. Aegon retorts, “F*ck dignity, I want revenge.”
The trailer showcases the return of characters such as Corlys Velaryon (Steve Toussaint), Ser Criston Cole (Fabien Frankel), and Aemond Targaryen (Ewan Mitchell).
In an ominous ending to the video, Rhaenyra declares, “War is coming, and neither of us may win.”
The highly-anticipated new installment of the drama comes nearly two years after the first season’s release. The program first aired back in August 2022.
