Liverpool Welcomes Taylor Swift to the UK With Exciting Town Makeover
So long, Liverpool. Hello, “Taylor Town.” Liverpool is celebrating the arrival of Taylor Swift and the Eras Tour in the UK by transforming the city into “Taylor Town” from June 8 to June 16.
Over the past year, Swift’s Eras Tour became a global phenomenon. While touring worldwide, she has dominated the music industry and made a remarkable economic impact. She kicked off her European leg of the Eras Tour in Paris, France, on May 9. The “Cruel Summer” singer performs in the UK starting June 7 in Edinburgh.
From June 13 to 15, Swift takes over Anfield Stadium in Liverpool and performs three sold-out events. The excitement of the pop sensation’s arrival will extend beyond her captivating performances.

The Taylor Town Trail consists of eleven art installations created by local artists, each representing an era from the pop icon’s career. Make CIC and Cultural Liverpool will display these works across the city. Claire McColgan, the director of Cultural Liverpool, stated, “It’s really important for us to support young artists as well and also support local organizations, and for us the chance to work with the greatest artist in the world.”
Visitors can participate in Taylor-themed craft workshops, which include cupcake decorating, seagull origami, collage creation, t-shirt decorating, and denim upcycling. Taylor Town is not solely artistic; it also focuses on the singer’s academic impact on culture. The University of Liverpool will host a Tay-Day symposium on June 12 in which students and scholars will host discussions and present their work on subjects like Swift’s feminism and role in LGBTQ+ activism.
The city in northwest England has a long-standing love for live performances, so it launched the “Liverpool Loves” campaign. This campaign, which draws upon Liverpool’s rich history of hosting Eurovision and being the origin point of the sensational musical group The Beatles, is a perfect fit for the arrival of Taylor Swift and her Eras Tour.
