Clairo Releases New Single ‘Sexy to Someone’ from Upcoming Album
On May 23, Clairo put out an enchanting new single, “Sexy to Someone” off her upcoming album, Charm. The album releases on July 12.
Fans impatiently waited for new music from the “Pretty Girl” singer for months. In January, she wrote in an Instagram caption, “maybe this year,” accompanied by a music note emoji. Her most recent album, Sling, was released three years ago. Now, the wait for new music is finally over, and the singer-songwriter’s lead single, “Sexy to Someone,” proves it was worthwhile.

The single debuted at noon, and, afterward, the “Bags” singer announced her third album Charm. The vocalist didn’t stop there; she also revealed the record’s tracklist in her post’s caption. The album includes 11 tracks, with the new single as track two. It opens with “Nomad,” which the singer performed on The Sling Tour before its official release.
The artist then appeared on an episode of The Zane Lowe Show since she was the cover of Apple Music’s New Music Daily playlist. They discussed the “grooviness” of the single and what listeners should expect from the new album.
In the episode, Clairo stated, “‘Sexy to Someone’ is a good example of, maybe like, the palette and, maybe, the approach that we took with recording–you know, live band takes.” She opened up about her decision to move outside the city and how the choice led to her new artistic direction.
The “Sofia” singer’s team also released a Charm merchandise collection in honor of the album’s announcement. It includes several vinyl variants and multiple box sets. The sets come in an embossed Charm box. Three include a T-shirt and CD, while the other comes with enamel pins, a silk scarf, and a CD.
In addition to new merchandise, the artist’s website teases an upcoming Charm tour. The tour section of the site states, “COMING SOON…,” causing excitement among the artist’s fanbase. One fan jokingly remarked, “i can feel the hole in my wallet growing,” in anticipation of buying tickets once the tour is officially announced.
