The premise for All American: Homecoming follows Simone (Geffri Maya), a young tennis player from Beverly Hills, who finds her chosen family as they navigate the highs and lows of early adulthood at a prestigious Historically Black College and University (HBCU). The young adult drama series is set at Bringston University, where Black Excellence is everything.

The trailer for the new season was released on Instagram. It alludes to Simone choosing between her love interests, Damon (Peyton Alex Smith) and Lando (Martin Bobb-Semple). At the same time, Simone has a renewed interest in tennis, which also seems to be challenged when she expresses, “Something’s off with my swing.”

Simone’s love life isn’t the only one in trouble, as there seems to be a brewing conflict in Amara’s (Kelly Jenrette) and Marcus’ (Cory Hardrict) relationship. Keisha (Netta Walker) faces roadblocks while pursuing her dancing career, while JR (Sylvester Powell) tries to get his life back on track.

Fans are eager for Season 3 and have been excited all over social media.

The CW has also released the official plotline for Season 3. Thea (the former tennis Queen Bee played by Camille Hyde) supports Simone while trying to make her mark on the pro circuit. As for JR, he will complete his treatment for aplastic anemia. Meanwhile, Coach Marcus deals with his wife’s return. Lando becomes closer with the friend group, and Cam (Mitchell Edwards), Keisha, and Nate (Rhoyle Ivy King) struggle to balance their romantic relationships and career pursuits.

The showrunner, Nkechi Okoro Carroll, revealed that Peyton Alex Smith will become a recurring character while Martin Bobb-Semple will become a prominent cast member. Fans are worried about how this shift will affect the love triangle. Carroll states, “What I will caution people against is thinking that it means the storyline is going in any particular way.”

Season 3 will have thirteen episodes. Remember to tune in on Monday nights on The CW to catch new episodes of All American: Homecoming or on Netflix.
