Sabrina Carpenter teases new music on social media with a cryptic new video.

It’s no secret that Carpenter has been winning hearts and topping charts with her hit single, “Espresso.” As of June 2, the single has spent 13 days straight at number one on the global Spotify chart with a whopping 9.159 million streams. The viral song of the summer has left fans excited and thirsty for more, leading them to wonder what Carpenter will brew up next.

Recently, it seems that Carpenter has been teasing an answer for her curious fans. On June 2, the “Read Your Mind” singer released a short video clip on her X account. The 14-second clip begins with Carpenter walking into the frame and kissing the camera, leaving a red lipstick stain. Then, she walks off as a short, bubbly melody begins to play. The “Feather” singer has been teasing her next single with this tune for a while. Observant fans noticed this new tune is the same one as the one at the end of the “Espresso” music video.

Just three hours after being posted, the short video clip surpassed 800,000 likes on Instagram. However, this clip is not the only way Carpenter has been teasing new music. New billboards spotted all around the country feature hilarious tweets about the “Vicious” singer, particularly focusing on her height. “sabrina carpenter has charmed me,” one billboard in Times Square reads. “i don’t know anything about her but i think waking up every day and being 4 ’11 is an act of bravery.” Another billboard spotted in Los Angeles reads, “when i say i hate short people, sabrina carpenter is NEVER included.”

All the hype around a possible new single does not mean that Carpenter, or anyone else, has forgotten about “Espresso.” Following up on the massive success of the single, and the recent release of the Espresso EP, the “Nonsense” singer collaborated with DJ and producer Mark Ronson to create two new “Espresso” remixes. The “Working Late” and “Working Later” remixes debuted with 60,014 and 18,009 Spotify streams respectively.

While “Espresso” continues to be remixed and replayed, fans anticipate Sabrina Carpenter’s next smashing hit. In the meantime, fans can stream her music on all platforms.
