Venom The Last Dance, First Look at Epic Final Battle
In a year with a bit of a superhero break, Venom is bringing audiences worldwide a whole year’s worth of crazy action in Venom The Last Dance.
This morning, Sony released the first trailer for the film, which hits theaters on October 25. It stars Tom Hardy(The Bikeriders, Inception) as Eddie Brock, a man bonded with an alien lifeform called Venom. Together, they seem to be facing down an invasion from Venom’s species of symbiotes appearing from beyond the stars.

Venom The Last Dance continues Sony’s floundering superhero universe of Marvel characters associated with Spider-Man. The film Madame Web, released earlier this year, was also part of this universe, as is Kraven The Hunter which releases in December. Though nearly all of these films have been critical misfires, the previous Venom films have been financial successes. Venom: Let There Be Carnage, released in October 2021, and was one of the films that helped reignite film theaters following the pandemic.
Eddie Brock, portrayed by Tom Hardy, was last seen in the post-credits scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home, having briefly traveled to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, he will be back in his universe for this film, seemingly without a Spider-Man in sight.

However, that doesn’t mean Venom will be alone. Hardy is joined in this film by returning actors Peggy Lu and Stephen Graham. Others joining this installment include Juno Temple(Ted Lasso), Rhys Ifans(House of the Dragon), Chiwetel Ejiofor(Doctor Strange), and Alanna Ubach(Legally Blonde). Kelly Marcel, who served as a writer on the previous two films, is stepping into the director’s chair for this third installment.
