Tove Lo and SG Lewis Announce New EP HEAT
Tove Lo and SG Lewis just announced their new EP titled HEAT, coming later this month.
Neither one of the dynamic duo are strangers to the dance music scene… or each other. Most recently, the pair collaborated with singer Nelly Furtado on her latest single, “Love Bites.” They have also joined forces on “Pineapple Slice,” a song on Lo’s most recent album, Dirt Femme, and on “Call on Me,” a hit track that appeared on both Dirt Femme and Lewis’ 2023 album, AudioLust & HigherLove.
On June 4, the two announced the date of their upcoming collaborative EP, HEAT, which will be released on June 14.

The EP will include four tracks, titled “Heat,” “In Out,” “Desire,” and “Busy Girl.” With an upbeat, danceable, and high-energy sound, this EP is meant to be a love letter to fans in the LGBTQ+ community. “Me and Sam share a lot of fans in the queer community,” Lo shared in an interview with Paper Magazine. “For us, this is for them and all about the songs that make you feel free and sweaty and sexy in a club together.”

For some fans, June 14 will not be their first time hearing the exciting new tracks on HEAT. On May 9, the pair threw the CLUB HEAT party in London, DJing for their fans and playing unreleased songs from the upcoming EP. “It has been a really exciting experience for us,” Lewis exclaimed. “In our own spare time in our friendship circle, we’re always DJing together in different places. So, for the [CLUB HEAT] tour, we knew it would be really fun for Tove to DJ and not just take on the role of singing and being a pop star which she is so good at.”

In an interview with Clash Magazine, the two shared the inspiration and creative stimulation they found while collaborating in the studio. “…I think when we first worked together we felt that special creative connection that rarely happens,” Lo explained. “After our first two collaborations, we kept getting in the studio together as the process was so natural and fun,” Lewis added. “And every time we went in we came out with something we loved!”
