New Film Red One Releases First Trailer

On June 25, Amazon MGM Studios released the first trailer for Red One, an upcoming holiday action comedy film.
Starring Dwayne Johnson, Chris Evans, and J.K. Simmons, Red One announced that it will premiere in US theaters on November 15, the same month the film will set out worldwide via Warner Bros. Pictures. The action-packed film takes place “after a shocking abduction from the North Pole” where “the Commander of the E.L.F. Task Force must partner with the world’s most infamous bounty hunter to save Christmas.”

Plot details have yet to be disclosed, but the trailer showcases the film kicking off after Santa Claus–Code name: Red One–has been allegedly kidnapped. Callum (Johnson), the Head of Security for the North Pole, teams up with a bounty hunter on the NL-4 naughty list (Evans). The two begin their mission, facing obstacles and magical enemies in hopes of saving Christmas.
On June 24, Johnson posted a missing poster for Santa Claus. In his caption, he stated, “All points alert to everyone around the world— be on the lookout for this man. Last seen at the North Pole. If you have any information, please reach out to the E.L.F. North Pole Command Center via the number on the bottom of this official RED ONE poster. WE NEED YOUR HELP. Christmas depends on it. And Nick, buddy, if you’re reading this— I will find you.”
The official Red One Instagram then reposted the flyer, and fans are playing along, asking, “Has anyone called the number? Please report back.”
Fans are excited to see Johnson as Callum Drift and Evans as comical bounty hunter Jack O’Malley. Alongside the main characters are Lucy Liu (Zoe), J.K. Simmons (Nick), and Bonnie Hunt (Mrs. Claus). Additionally, Kristofer Hivju, Kiernan Shipka, and Mary Elizabeth Ellis will appear in the film.
The adventurous comedy is directed by Jake Kasdan, with the script written by Chris Morgan and based on a story by Hiram Garcia. Moreover, the producers include Kasdan, Johnson, Morgan, and Garcia, along with Danny Garcia, and Melvin Mar.
