Ahead of a July 18 debut, DC has released the official trailer for Kite-Man: H*ll Yeah! This animated series serves as a spinoff of Harley Quinn, which has enjoyed a remarkable four-season run.

Instead of Harley Quinn, this series focuses on Kite-Man, a supervillain who commits crimes using his giant kite, and his girlfriend, Golden Glider, as they run a supervillain bar called Noonan’s.

Matt Orberg returns to voice Kite-Man, while Oscar nominee Stephanie Hsu will portray Golden Glider. In addition, Kaley Cuoco (The Flight Attendant) and Keith David (Hazbin Hotel) are reprising their leading series roles as Harley Quinn and Darkseid. Unfortunately, this series also serves as the final television appearance of Lance Reddick (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) after his passing in March of last year.

A series based around Kite-Man was first announced in April 2022, ahead of Harley Quinn’s third season premiere. Later, in September 2023, the first teaser was released after the fourth season of Harley Quinn finished airing.

In the Harley Quinn series, Kite-Man previously appeared as Poison Ivy’s fiancé. However, after Ivy leaves him at the altar to date Harley, Kite-Man begins dating Golden Glider, initially voiced by Cathy Ang in the third season.

The first season of Kite-Man: H*ll Yeah! will consist of 10 episodes and begin airing on July 18. Like its sister series, Harley Quinn, and the upcoming live-action series The Penguin, this series is releasing under the DC Elseworlds umbrella. Therefore, it is not connected to the upcoming DCU being assembled by James Gunn. In addition, Kite-Man is expected to return in the forthcoming fifth season of Harley Quinn after his spinoff.
