During her acceptance speech for Video of the Year, she thanked her team, choreographer Sean Bankhead, and the dancers. She even thanked Chalie Boy for his cameo in the video. Monét expressed to the dancers who took part in the project, “I need the world to understand how much power you have to make a song break.”
KAYTRANADA, who produced “Alright,” took to the stage with Monét for the performance.
The set included three outfits inspired by her music videos for both songs: big white T-shirts with baggy pants and sneakers, an all-white suit and hat similar to the Jacksons, and a two-piece set for her rain dance break.
