Summertime isn’t the only thing that’s hot in Sims 4. Electronic Arts (EA) revealed its latest expansion pack, Lovestruck, in a new trailer. The pack is set to release on July 25.

Fans are already anticipating the latest expansion pack.

The most significant update to Sims 4 is that players will get a free update that allows Sims to engage in polyamory. Gone are the days when you must search for mods to combat jealousy for your Sims.

According to the official Sims blog, “Free for all players is the new Romantic Boundaries system that will allow you to customize your Sim’s experience with boundaries and jealousy. You can now define how your Sims approach romantic relationships in terms of physical and emotional romantic exclusivity, which allows Sims to date multiple Sims without impacting other relationships.”

While adding polyamory is a first for Sims 4, representation in the game has been improving for some time. In 2016, EA allowed users to customize their gender. Three years later, Sims 4 launched the “It Gets Better” project, which gave access to pride-themed content. Two years ago, gamers could change Sims’ sexual orientation and add their pronouns.

The pack will also include Ciudad Enamorada, a new neighborhood full of romantic adventures. “Your Sims will be able to hunt for the best spot to try the romantic blanket in the city’s gardens, dance until morning at their favorite nightclub, or even experience the beautiful simplicity of sitting together to watch the stars,” EA states. Within the city, two other neighborhoods include Vista Hermosa and Plaza Mariposa for all your Sim’s romantic desires.

Sims can rent a room at “Beso Rápido” for a romantic rendezvous. The updated pack includes a Cupid’s Corner app where Sims can “match” with other Sims who might become their future partners. The app consists of a date planner, giving Sims a night they will never forget.

The Sims 4 Lovestruck expansion pack costs $39.99 and launches on July 25. Players who pre-order will get the Cry Me a River Eyeliner, a Herbert Heart Plushie, and a Brakup Double Bed. In the meantime, check out the trailer below.
