Jenn Tran’s Season Premiere of The Bachelorette: All You Need to Know
Who will be receiving Jenn Tran’s final rose? Read below for the first details on her season of The Bachelorette.
Tran has become the star of her very own love story, with her season of The Bachelorette premiering last Monday, July 8. With host Jesse Palmer by her side, Tran has the opportunity to find her future husband and accept his proposal in a few short weeks.
She has made history as the first Asian-American Bachelorette, as she is of Vietnamese descent.
After being a fan-favorite on Joey Graziadei’s season of The Bachelor, she was eliminated right before “Hometowns.” She was heartbroken, sharing, “I know what I have to offer. I know what an amazing woman I am, and I know that somebody else will be happy to be my person.” Tran knew what she wanted: true love.
Tran’s journey began on July 8, with 25 men vying to win the PA student’s heart.
The men had many creative entrances, hoping to grab her attention. However, the biggest gag of the first episode was Jonathon’s entrance. Jonathon arrived in a hospital gown and a gauze-covered face, claiming to be “lovesick.” His identity remained a mystery, as he waited all night to get a chance to talk to Tran and have her take the bandages off to reveal his face. Thankfully, Jonathon ended up receiving a rose for his effort and charisma.

One of the biggest aspects of every Bachelor or Bachelorette season is the big question of who will earn the coveted first impression rose. This rose is awarded to the contestant who made the best first impression on the season’s lead. After meeting the men and conversing with them, Tran awarded the first impression rose to Sam M. Not only was Tran immediately attracted to Sam M., but they had a great conversation that stood out to the new Bachelorette.
