Thaddeus and Sam disagree on how they operate missions, but the two must find common ground. Thaddeus leaves fans speechless when he claims, “You may be Captain America, but you are not Steve Rogers.”
The last clip of the teaser ends with a new character, the Red Hulk, roaring and throwing Captain America’s shield to the ground. Fans are ecstatic to see the Red Hulk take to screen for the first time.
Mackie officially took on the role of Captain America in the finale episodes of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier in 2021. In the new film, Mackie will return as fan-favorite Sam. Alongside Mackie are Harrison Ford, Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Xosha Roquemore, and Carl Lumbly, with Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, and Tim Blake Nelson. The film is directed by Julius Onah and produced by Kevin Feige and Nate Moore.
Additionally, Marvel released a new poster for the film featuring a giant red hand gripping Captain America’s shield, teasing the appearance of the Red Hulk.
On July 4, Mackie posted himself in Cap’s uniform, stating, “Happy Birthday America. Have a great 4th, see you soon…” Excited fans commented, “THAT’S MY CAPTAIN RIGHT THERE,” and “LETS GOOO CAPTAIN AMERICA.”
