Adele Announces Hiatus From Music in New Interview
After concluding her Vegas residency later this year, Adele plans to take a “big break” from creating new music.
Since November 2022, the “Rolling in the Deep” singer has performed concerts regularly as part of her “Weekends With Adele” residency in Las Vegas. In an Instagram post, the pop star expressed how much her residency has meant to her and how “these shows have changed [her] life.”
“I desperately needed to fall back in love with performing live again, and I have,” the “Someone Like You” singer wrote. However, after performing 100 concerts by the time she concludes her residency in November, Adele will reportedly be stepping back from music.
Adele takes a break for 2-3 year stretch then popes back out and makes music/ tours and then goes back to her 2-3 year break again and honestly, I love that for her. https://t.co/bWHhL3rppz

In an interview with German outlet ZDF, the “Set Fire to the Rain” singer revealed that she has no plans to create a new album soon. “I don’t have any plans for new music, at all,” the “Hello” singer stated. “I want a big break after this and I think I want to do other creative things, just for a little while.”
Though fans may be disappointed with the coming hiatus, long breaks are common for Adele. The artist’s 2021 album, 30, was released after a five-year break and is considered the “Easy On Me” singer’s grand comeback to the music scene. The singer also revealed that she intended to go on a hiatus from music at a Vegas concert in January, telling her audience, “I just don’t think I’m gonna write an album for quite some time.”
Though the Grammy Award-winning artist plans to step away from music for a while, her fans still have much to look forward to this year. In August, the “When We Were Young” singer will perform a special series of concerts in Munich.
According to a press release, Adele will perform in “a bespoke arena” that “will feature a combination of seated grandstands and standing areas with capacity for 80,000 people per night.” The site will also include “Adele World,” a gastronomy city featuring an English pub, a cover band stage, stalls selling unique cocktails, and the singer’s favorite drink.
