Nick Jonas Revealed What Really Happened at the Disney Channel Games
Before Gen-Z grew up and took an interest in the Olympics, there was a competition that garnered more anticipation and was filled with higher stakes, also known as the Disney Channel Games.

For those who did not have the pleasure during the summers of 2006 through 2008 of making the Disney Channel Games an entire event in their household, let’s break it down for you. Over a hundred Disney Channel stars, including Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, The Jonas Brothers, The Cheetah Girls, and many more from the “golden age,” would convene in one arena to compete in Wipeout style challenges. They hoped to become the Disney Channel Games champion in the end.
Sounds simple, right? Well, Nick Jonas just confirmed some suspicions that have circulated for years. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jonas mentioned right after the interview that he’d be jetting off to Paris for the 2024 Olympic Games. Fallon then joked that the singer has never competed in the Olympics, but something much better – the Disney Channel Games.

While reminiscing on the embarrassingly large amount of hair he and his brothers had, the actor discussed the games as being an event where “they’d bring in 100-ish Disney Channel stars from all over the world and make us compete in silly games.”
However, when the cameras stopped rolling, the “Jealous” singer described the environment as “Love Island on crack.”
“They would put a bunch of teenagers in the Disney parks after hours and just say, ‘let’s see what happens,’” he stated.
Although he didn’t go into much detail after that, it doesn’t take a genius to put two and two together to understand what went on. This is especially true given what we know about specific love triangles. Nonetheless, the Disney Channel Games were once a major summertime spectacle that young viewers looked forward to and now act as a fun nostalgic bit when discussing the beloved era of Disney Channel.
The summer is still young so, after the Olympics wrap up, if you’re looking for another adrenaline boost, the 2008 Disney Channel Games are available for streaming on Disney+. Check out Nick Jonas’s full interview below.
