Ellie Goulding and Calvin Harris Reunite for New Single ‘Free’

The duo that brought us songs such as “Outside” and “I Need Your Love” is back. DJ and record producer Calvin Harris has once again joined forces with singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding after a history of creating top hits. This time, with the uplifting single “Free.”

Their new single, “Free” embodies house music with an elegant sound as they combine Goulding’s vocals with Harris’s upbeat melodies. While Harris’s previous tracks continue to attract streams, he seems to be shifting towards a neon aesthetic. His previous single cover featuring Goulding along with “Free“ both showcase a vibrant, abstract design. This may reflect the fast-paced techno beat that his new music has. Could this define the next Harris album?

Before the release, Harris and Goulding gave fans a sneak peek of the single at Ushuaïa, an Ibizan club, unleashing the funky song to the energized crowd. The crowd went ballistic to this high-energy mix, accompanied by Goulding’s singing appearance. To continue drawing excitement, Harris took to Instagram with a clip of the performance to tease fans globally for the upcoming release.
