Gap X Madhappy Unveil Nostalgic Collection
Gap announced its newest design collaboration with Madhappy earlier this week. The collection will have a nostalgic, positive vibe.
Madhappy was created in 2017 by Joshua Sitt, Noah Raf, Peiman Raf, and Mason Spector. The lifestyle brand focuses on the laid-back, urban style of Los Angeles, where the brand was founded.
Spector shared, “Growing up in LA and being in tune with the streetwear landscape and the creative energy of the youth, it felt very exclusive. I have memories walking into stores on Fairfax like Supreme and feeling insecure or not sure if I was cool enough.”
Calvin Leung, Head of Creative at Gap, explained the reasons behind the collaboration: “Madhappy is a brand that lives beyond their product by fostering a community of optimists — this was a natural alignment to our values of championing self-expression and individuality.”

The campaign is inspired by Gap’s 1988 “Individuals of Style” spread. The new campaign will feature some of the stars Gen Z looks up to, like 070 Shake and Devon Lee Carlson. The line will also be filled with classic wardrobe staples like sweatshirts, baby tees, denim skirts, and more.
