Taylor Swift Performs to Thousands of Fans Watching Outside the Stadium for Free
Thousands of Eras Tour fans spread across a local hill near the concert venue to watch Taylor Swift in Munich, Germany.
On July 27 and 28, Swift stepped on stage for two nights in Munich, Germany. She performed for thousands of screaming fans inside and outside of the venue. Up to 40,000 Swift fans who did not have tickets went to Olympic Hill (Olympiaberg), one of the highest elevations in southern Germany, and secured their spots amongst the grassy hill hours before the concert started, hoping to catch a glimpse of their favorite artist.
The record-breaking Eras Tour held 74,000 viewers in the stadium cheering for the “Fortnight” singer. Heartwarming fans posted on X, “If I was there, I would have been one of those sitting on the hill. What could be better than sitting under the stars listening to the biggest Star on earth!”

As people packed tightly on the hill, many could be seen camping with umbrellas to brace against the heat as the weather climbed to 88 degrees Fahrenheit. Instead of discouraging the loving fans, the concert employees handed out free water and emergency blankets for protection from the sun.
During the songwriter’s opening section in Lover, she stated, “We’ve got people in a park outside the stadium, thousands of people listening from out there.” She added, “Thank you for making me feel so incredibly welcome. We’re gonna spend all night trying to make it up to you.”

On night one, the artist played Evermore‘s “Ivy” on the piano but started with the wrong key. She laughed, “Sometimes you just don’t hit the right note, do you?” She quickly dove into her mashup of “Ivy” and Reputation‘s “Call It What You Want.” The same night, the songwriter sang a melody of ”Fresh Out the Slammer” from the Tortured Poets Department and the 1989 love song “You Are In Love” on the guitar.
After the Munich shows, the artists will spend two nights in Warsaw, Poland. The European leg of her world tour will end after five additional nights in London.
