Ariana Grande Releases New ’60s-Inspired Eyeliner
Creator of R.E.M. Beauty, Ariana Grande, released a new eyeliner to help fans achieve her signature ’60s-inspired look.
The “eternal sunshine” singer explains to Elle Magazine, “I’m sort of anti-trend,” over a FaceTime call as she runs her fingers through her blonde, signature ponytail. She continues, “I love when people use eyeliner to tell a story or create a character.” This perfectly sums up the R.E.M. creator’s style evolution over the years, which has made her a major trendsetter.

From the signature ’60s high pony and winged eyeliner to the big sweatshirt knee-high boots combo, everyone wanted the pop star’s classic 2010s look. So much so that the Wicked actress inspired thousands of people to dress up like her for Halloween and was notably copied by impersonators.

The “yes, and?” singer claims she takes inspiration from classic ’60s icons, explaining, “My whole mood board is Audrey Hepburn movies, like Barbarella—super hippie, Beatles inspiration, and ’60s girl groups.” She rocks these looks both in and out of music videos.
