MAX Releases First Look at Exciting Television Slate
On the heels of the second season of House of the Dragon, MAX unveiled a first look at its television slate for the 2024–2025 season.
The teaser, which hit YouTube last night, opens with brand-new clips from The Penguin and Dune Prophecy. These two series, which previously moved from MAX Originals to premiering on HBO, will be released this fall. Also present were new glimpses of several other HBO Originals, such as Kit Harrington’s Industry and The Franchise, an upcoming comedy satirizing the production of superhero films.

Viewers also received looks at three MAX Originals premiering this year. This includes the newest season of The Sex Lives of College Girls. Additionally, a new clip for Creature Commandos, the first series from DC Studios, unveiled a teaser earlier this month. Finally, a first look from the fifth season of Harley Quinn appeared at about the midpoint. The upcoming season airs in November following the conclusion of the spinoff Kite-Man: H*ll Yeah!
Most importantly, the last part of the teaser displayed initial glimpses of the HBO series dropping in 2025. First among them was the third season of The White Lotus. The anthology series now stars Carrie Coon and Leslie Bibb, with the third season being set in Thailand.
A first look was also shown for IT: Welcome to Derry, the upcoming prequel to the Stephen King-inspired horror film IT. In addition, a short first clip from A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the next Game of Thrones spinoff which started production earlier this summer. And finally, most importantly, viewers got their first look at the second season of The Last of Us.

This first look features Pedro Pascal’s Joel reckoning with the drastic action he took at the conclusion of the first season. Brief glimpses of the action were shown, alongside first looks at Isabela Merced as Dina, Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Jeffrey Wright returning to his role as Isacc, and a first look at even more of the iconic clicker zombies from the fungus-infested world. Expectations are high for the second season, which will begin to adapt to the events of the more controversial second game.
There’s a lot to look forward to for fans of HBO and MAX Originals. You can watch the full teaser for MAX’s upcoming television slate below and stream current projects on MAX now.
