For starters, we can expect Alfonso Ribiero and Julianne Hough to return as the illustrious hosts. After four seasons of swapping between a solo Tyra Banks, Banks paired with Ribiero, and most recently Ribiero paired with Hough, it’s safe to say there is a permanent pairing to take us through the next few seasons.

In addition to the dynamic hosting duo, the beloved judging panel will also remain the same as Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli will return to the judging table. After the passing of Len Goodman following season 31, fans wondered if they would find someone to replace him (although that is near impossible). Instead, they condensed it back down to a trio with a rotation of guest judges, including Paula Abdul, Billy Porter, and Michael Strahan, every few weeks.

A new teaser trailer featuring the hosts and standout pros like Rylee Arnold, Britt Stewart, Alan Bersten, and Brandon Armstrong officially confirmed this season’s premiere date. Season 33 will premiere on September 17 and remain in the Tuesday night 8:00 P.M. timeslot from last season—as opposed to the traditional Monday night slot the series held onto for over a decade.

So, at the moment, we have a date, time, and some of the staple cast members. Contrary to last year, where fans saw a lengthy pre-season, revealing contestants like Ariana Madix in June and leaking Jamie Lynn Spears and Adrian Peterson before the official reveal, there has not been a peep out of the DWTS camp.

Fan speculation has run rampant as they are dying to see which of their favorite celebrities will take the ballroom. Given the recent conclusion of the Paris Olympics, there is no doubt that there will be at least one Olympian in the lineup. Originally, fans had gymnast Jordan Chiles on their radar; however, in light of recent events, it may be a few more seasons before she enters the cast.

However, fans now think male gymnast and Olympic fan favorite Stephen Nedoroscik has joined the cast as he is no longer a part of Simone Biles’ “Gold Over America” tour.

Other rumored contestants include Vanderpump Rules’ Tom Sandoval, Bravo alum Sutton Stracke, Survivor contestant Parvati Shallow, and a Bachelor cast member (duh).

There is no official cast announcement date yet, but as in past years, the lineup of pros and contestants will be revealed on Good Morning America.

Season 33 of Dancing With the Stars premieres on September 17 at 8:00 P.M. on ABC and Disney+, and the next day on Hulu.
