After deliberating on various options, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump have agreed on details for their first presidential debate, sparking discussion of additional broadcasts.

Voters have their outcome for when they can expect to evaluate the presidential candidates as they take on their first debate. Democratic candidate Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, now running as the Republican presidential candidate, have officially agreed on the location and time for their televised debate.

The first debate, hosted by ABC, is scheduled for September 10. This announcement was long-awaited, following numerous attempts to decide on a network and date between the two candidates.

At the start of Harris’s campaign, she stepped up to elevate her current title of Vice President, and she prepared to step in with a debate planned for Trump and Joe Biden in the same circumstances. Trump later withdrew his agreement to the debate, sparking controversial reactions while viewers awaited Harris’s response and further decision on the debate.

See below as Harris responded during her Atlanta event following the exchange.

Harris then declined Trump’s request for a September 4 debate in Pennsylvania to broadcast on Fox News, in which Trump stated, “I’ll see her on September 4, or I won’t see her at all,” on Truth Social.

Trump later proposed three debate options, to which Harris confirmed her attendance for the terms of September 10 on ABC as previously scheduled. Trump’s reconfirmation of his participation puts the pair back at square one, but preparations for the same broadcast continue as planned.

Paparazzi questioned Harris about the three debate opportunities mentioned by Trump. Harris responded, exclaiming, “I hear he’s finally committed to it, and I’m looking forward to it.”

Trump remains confident that the two will publicly debate two additional times, as expressed on his social media, although Harris’s campaign ensures she has only agreed to September 10. He concludes his post by proclaiming, “I look forward to seeing Kamala at all three debates.”

Despite discussing alternate dates, the Democratic candidate and her team affirm their commitment to the single scheduled appearance, noting that additional plans may be considered pending Trump’s attendance at the initial event.

Tune in to ABC on September 10 to gather your opinions as Harris and Trump take the stand to discuss their political intentions.
