Tinashe Announces New World Tour
Tinashe announced her “Match My Freak World Tour” on August 6.
The tour has 23 dates, starting on October 14 in Anaheim at the House of Blues. Live Nation produces the tour. The singer released a teaser for the tour on her Instagram.
The dancer will visit Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, Washington, D.C., Brooklyn, and Toronto before concluding on November 25 at Ace of Spades in Sacramento. According to Tinashe, international dates for Australia, Europe, the U.K., and Asia will be announced soon.
Raveena is the special guest for the tour. The “Getting No Sleep” singer expressed her appreciation on Instagram, stating, “Let’s goooooooo.”
Before the tour starts, the songstress is gearing out to release Quantum Baby, the follow-up to last year’s BB/Ang3l, on August 16. A week ago, the “Nasty” singer released the tracklist for her upcoming project.
Quantum Baby‘s lead single, “Nasty,” is now at number 1 on US Rhythmic Radio. It has been dubbed “the song of the summer.”
The second single, “Getting No Sleep,” received a music video treatment, following the same story as the “Nasty” music video.
On August 13, the “2 On” singer announced that she is the new cover girl for The Cut.
The multi-hyphenate talent interviewed with The Cut to promote her new album. She expressed, “I think my duty — My responsibility is to challenge myself, which in turn challenges my audience.” To read more of Tinashe’s interview, click here.
The pop star explains, “Quantum Baby is about getting to know me on a deeper level. It’s about exploring who I am as a person and who I am as an artist. I’ve never been one to be put into a box, so the name Quantum Baby encompasses all the different parts that make up who I am as a creative.”
Recently, the songwriter taught fans how to get her makeup look in her new Vogue Beauty Secrets video. Throughout the video, she discusses advice from Madonna, her different makeup looks, and how a necklace inspired the song “Nasty.”
The songstress has also appeared on the Broken Record podcast, where she discussed her upcoming seventh studio album, being an independent artist, her role in The Polar Express, and working with Tom Hanks.
You can pre-save Quantum Baby here. In the meantime, tickets for the “Match My Freak World Tour” are on sale via Tinashe’s website.
