On Tuesday, Rodrigo wrapped up the U.S. leg of her tour, performing the first of four dates at Inglewood’s Kia Forum, Los Angeles. The artist took to the stage, immersed in the screams of her loving fans. She told the crowd, “Oh boy, I’ve been looking forward to this show for a really, really long time. Hometown show, baby. It’s very, very special.” Filled with joy from the ecstatic crowd, she expressed, “L.A., you guys are gonna make me blush up here.”

Opening the night with her hit single, “Bad Idea Right?” the fans belted the lyrics as she transitioned to “Vampire” and “Drivers License” all within the first twenty minutes. The energy in the arena fueled the night and the artist became overjoyed with emotions.

The night housed many celebrities, those among the audience were Adam Sandler, Tobey Maguire, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Sandler whipped out his phone and took several videos of his daughters and their friends singing along to “Good 4 U.”

The singer grew up in the Southern California community of Temecula and in the middle, she moved up to the big lights of L.A. for a lead role in Disney Channel Bizaardvark. Before launching into “So American,” she shared, “You guys, we’ve been on tour for so long, and I got to sleep in my own bed last night, it was amazing. We’ve been all over the place. We got to, like, drink wine in France and eat pasta in Italy, but you know what? It’s so good to be home and have a f—ing In-N-Out burger, for real. That was my first stop after getting home. I literally flew to LAX and then drove to pick up In-N-Out burger.”

While sitting crossed leg on stage, the pop star dove into her social media backstory and even called herself “a wizard at the art of Instagram DM.” She shared to the group, “I’ve met so many people that I’ve dated on Instagram DM, some of them a little questionable so maybe that’s not a good example.” She explained after posting a clip of “Happier” online, Daniel Leonard Nigro reached out to ask if she’d like to work with him. She stated, “That was the catalyst for two albums and kind of this show and tonight right here. So I have Instagram DM to thank for a whole lot in my life.”

Additionally, the GUTS singer brought back the barricades walk where she meets fans on the floor. The artist decided to take away the barricade section of the night after an event at one of her concerts where a fan threw an object at her head. Fans roared with excitement having the opportunity once again to be close with their favorite pop star.

After a month’s break, Rodgrio will head to Asia hitting Thailand, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore in September. The artist will wrap her world tour in Australia with four shows each in Melbourne and Sydney.
