Tate McRae Releases Video for New Single ‘It’s ok I’m ok’
Tate McRae, the latest pop sensation, has once again captivated audiences with the release of her newest single “It’s ok I’m ok.”
The song showcases McRae’s evolving status as the next big “pop princess.” Co-written and produced with an all-star team including Ryan Tedder (who worked with Taylor Swift and Beyoncé), ILYA, and Savan Kotecha, the song is a powerful blend of McRae’s distinct pop sound with a catchy beat and lyrics.
She debuted the new track at her “Think Later Tour” performance in Madison Square Garden. Following a brief preview video of her getting ready and telling the audience, “Wait, that’s not greedy,” to the music playing, she unveiled new dance moves for her unreleased song.
In the song, she expresses a sense of self-worth and independence, embracing loving yourself for who you are. She shared, “It’s a playful take on knowing your worth and the all too relatable feeling of never wanting someone back.”
McRae has strongly emphasized the value of self-love and confidence throughout her career. Her fans see the rising pop star as a role model for these values. Inspiring young artists such as herself, she tells her followers to, “Be yourself and don’t doubt yourself.”
She ultimately released “It’s ok I’m ok” on September 12, with an accompanying music video. Directed by Hannah Lux Davis, the video is a visual treat that complements the song’s upbeat energy.

In the video, the star walks around the city with confidence and effortless grace, grabbing the attention of onlookers. Sean Bankhead, a close friend and collaborator of McRae’s, did the choreography, highlighting the singer’s extensive dance background and providing fans with the exuberant imagery they have come to expect from her.
Most notably, the video features a censored nude scene. As she walks through the streets, the camera cuts to her being arrested by cops completely unclothed save for knee-length boots, jewelry, and a police hat.
