Pop phenomenon Olivia Rodrigo is encouraging her fans, “Livies,” to vote and participate in the political process by using her powerful platform.
With a fan base largely consisting of young adults and teenagers, many of whom are nearing or just surpassing the legal voting age, Rodrigo’s message carries significant weight in energizing a new generation of voters.

In the past, she has also showcased her support for the “pro-choice” movement during her “GUTS Tour.” Every night during her encore performance of “good 4 u” and “get him back!” Rodrigo wears a different white tank top with a varying slogan on it. The singer shared a photo of herself wearing a T-shirt with the phrase “Bans Off Our Bodies” in the photo dump of the L.A. leg of her tour.
Rodrigo has also used her platform to promote public health initiatives during the Covid-19 pandemic. In July 2021, she visited the White House to meet with former President Joe Biden as part of a campaign to encourage teens to get vaccinated.
She stressed to her followers how important it is to receive the vaccine. She stated, “Even if you are young and not immunocompromised, getting your covid vaccination is the best thing you can do for your health and your loved ones’ health.”
