Yes, we just put away the swimsuits but we’re already prepping the fruitcake ahead of Netflix’s new variety holiday special starring popstar Sabrina Carpenter. A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter is set to take viewers on a holiday extravaganza filled with music and cheekiness her fans dearly adore.

The special will include performances from the singer’s holiday EP, Fruitcake. The six-track project was released last holiday season and featured a remix of the hit “Nonsense,” aptly titled “A Nonsense Christmas,” where instead of changing their contact to “don’t leave me alone,” the contact is now “has a huge north pole.”

Along with her solo performances, Carpenter is set to be joined by a few guests, none of which are confirmed at the moment, but given her recent ventures, we are in for a peppermint-sweet treat. Oh, and no word of a Santa Claus sighting – yet. But then again, who needs the jolly guy when you have one of Gen-Z’s latest popstars?

It’s an honor for her to bring holiday cheer to her fans’ homes, given her love for the season. “The holidays have always been so special to me …  I am excited to bring my take to a classic holiday variety show — infusing my love of music and comedy to make something that is uniquely me,” she told Netflix.

Netflix seems to be just as excited as Carpenter, stating, “Sabrina’s vision to subvert the classic holiday special has been clear since day one …we partner with the world’s most captivating artists to reimagine the expected, and we’re proud of the work by our entire team.”

A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter hits Netflix on Friday, December 6 8:00 P.M. EST. Start placing your guesses for what’s promised to be the perfect holiday outro for “Nonsense.”
