“Pushing It Down and Praying” is our official first look at Lizzy McAlpine’s fourth upcoming album, Older (and wiser). The “Doomsday” singer has been keeping her fans on their toes.

Although the artist later released snippets of the song following her announcement, fans were still left curious. She introduced her new music on Instagram the day before, with a picture of her crew in the studio. This post was followed by more behind-the-scenes footage of the song’s creation. Only the 1.5k comments on her post and 6.2k likes on her tweet guaranteed that fans were ready for what was coming.

The comment sections on her profiles had a wide range. From begging for snippets of the lyrics to demanding the meaning of an angel wing emoji following her recent tweet. She later responded, “It’s just a cute emoji.”

Fans became too intrigued by the little details she posted, and all missed a huge hint. Amongst the crazed fans’ comment sections was singer Role Model. In her announcement post, he commented, “Everyone says thank you.” However, they took his continuous commenting on McAlpines’ posts lightly.

Upon the video’s release, fans went even crazier about Role Models’ appearance. Only then was his avid support of her post noticed. Their chemistry made everyone get butterflies, especially considering Role Models’ most recent breakup. Could this be the start of his healing?

So this sudden meet-up with fans suggests something more. However, both McAlpine and Role Model have worked together. In July, he released an album of his own, Kansas Anymore, which listeners deemed his final love letter to his ex. On the tracklist is “So Far Gone,” another incredibly produced song featuring McAlpine’s voice. Role Model has also featured her in his music video for “Look at That Woman.” She and a handful of beautiful girls that chronically online girls obsess over match each other’s vibe and create better music and visuals.
