Wendy’s Collaborates With SpongeBob for New Celebratory Meal
Are you in a Krabby mood? In partnership with Paramount Studios and Nickelodeon, Wendy’s announced the release of a version of SpongeBob’s Krabby Patty Meal for the 25-year anniversary of the iconic cartoon SpongeBob Squarepants.
The cartoon premiered on Nickelodeon in 1999 and has run for the past 25 years, spanning through Millenials and Gen-Z. The beloved animated series has been a fan favorite for its famous protagonist, Spongebob Squarepants, and making headway for its renowned characters, theme song, and food, particularly the Krabby Patty. Longtime SpongeBob fans have dreamed of tasting the iconic animated food from the show.
What is the Krabby Patty Meal?
The meal will consist of the Krabby Patty Kollab Burger made of a quarter pound of beef, two slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickle, onion, and their top secret Krabby Patty Kollab sauce.
The choice of drink will be a pineapple-mango-flavored frosty consisting of a vanilla frosty with a fruit puree swirl, making it the first of its kind as a frosty.
This fast-food collaboration trend is long-standing tradition within the fast food industry. For celebrity meal combos, McDonald’s teams up with several celebrities, including Cardi B and Offset of Migos, BTS, and Saweetie.
Nickelodeon, Paramount, and Wendy’s will be the first to bring animated series food to life in the real world through their collaboration.The collaboration continues with Wendy’s reputation of doing trendy collaborations for its franchise. As Lindsay Radoski, U.S. Chief Marketing Officer for The Wendy’s Company, noted, “So, it makes sense that two of the most iconic squares in pop culture are teaming up to bring a taste of this unique, limited-time experience to life for fans of all ages.”
