In a dreamy affair at Villa Cetinale, Italy, Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown married Jake Bongiovi in May. Brown shared private photos from the intimate celebration with her close family among her followers.
The wedding setting was equally enchanting: the couple married under a floral arch, with the ceremony officiated by Matthew Modine, Brown’s Stranger Things co-star, who has often acted as a father figure to her both on and off-screen. Later, Modine reflected on the honor of officiating, praising Bongiovi for his maturity and kind nature.
Jake Bongiovi’s parents, Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea Bongiovi, along with Brown’s parents, attended the couple’s wedding. According to The Sun, “It was a very low-key, romantic affair with their closest family with them as they said their vows,” the outlet reported.
The actress, 20, beamed in her bespoke Oscar de la Renta gown, featuring a corseted bodice, delicate lace, and a dramatic fishtail skirt with an exceptionally long train. She completed the look with an ethereal tulle veil trimmed with lace, her hair styled in an elegant updo with two loose tendrils framing her face. For the reception, she changed into a short satin off-the-shoulder dress, perfect for dancing the night away. Meanwhile, Bongiovi, 22, wore a classic white tuxedo jacket with black pants and a black bow tie—an ensemble that will never go out of style and complemented Millie’s bridal attire beautifully.
