Singer and songwriter Gracie Abrams delighted fans this past week by releasing the live version of “I Love You, I’m Sorry” from her Vevo Extended Play session.

“I Love You, I’m Sorry” comes from Abrams’ highly acclaimed 2024 album, The Secret of Us. The singer’s new song is a play on her previous track “I miss you, I’m sorry,” from her album minor. In an interview with MTV, Abrams reflected on her music, “Writing ‘I Love You, I’m Sorry’ was sweet because there’s just been a lot of time to reflect on that relationship…[this song] is some of my favorite storytelling.”

The Vevo performance was filmed in an intimate studio setting. The stripped-back nature of the performance enhances the song’s emotional impact, with the piano and the “Risk” singer’s voice at the forefront. One of the most memorable moments from the performance is the note change during “Lay on the horn to prove that it haunts me.”

Fans were undoubtedly excited about the indie-pop artist’s new and fresh performance. Many joked about the “Mess It Up” singer needing to release this latest unfiltered version of her track. Some even commented, “ok so when are we getting this version of Spotify,” to which the music artist responded, “How about this Friday.”

She has always prioritized connection through her music, and releasing this live version of “I Love You, I’m Sorry” showcases her commitment to sharing authentic, intimate moments with her audience. The performance captures not only her growth as an artist but also her ability to tap into emotions that are relatable to her fans.

Executive Producer of the Vevo live performance, JP Evangelista, stated, “[Abrams is] a natural storyteller, and it was amazing to have the opportunity to provide a space for her and her band to perform a series of such personal and intimate songs.”

This live version of “I Love You, I’m Sorry” is a testament to the artist’s rising star power. With the continued release of content like this, she is proving to be a musician who can capture rawness and honesty. Whether through her albums or live performances, the “I Love You, I’m Sorry” singer continuously asks listeners to share her emotional journey.
