Megan Thee Stallion has teased fans with the latest trailer for her documentary, Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words, which is set to release on Prime Video this Halloween.

The announcement was made recently on Instagram, and although news of the release is fresh, the documentary has been in the works for two years.

Executive producer Loren Hammonds shared his excitement about working with Roc Nation to bring the rapper’s story to life. Speaking to Variety, he stated, “Millions of people are familiar with her as an entertainer, but this series will give her a chance to share her truth as never before. Her story is a powerful one, and the accomplishments she continues to achieve are remarkable. We feel lucky to capture her at a crucial moment in her life and career, as she grow s exponentially in both her artistry and global impact.”

The Savage rapper opens up about the hardships she has faced on her journey, including the sudden passing of her mother in 2019 and the highly publicized altercation with fellow rapper Tory Lanez in 2020. In the trailer, she reveals how the overwhelming social media backlash affected her, saying, “I was definitely getting a little too engulfed in social media.” The trailer also shows an emotional moment where she says, "Everybody hates me," followed by a clip of her crying in someone’s arms.

The documentary, directed by Primetime Emmy-winner Nneka Onuorah, who previously worked on Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, promises to give fans a deep, personal look into Megan’s life.
