Addison Rae to Release New Single ‘Aquamarine’

Columbia Records

Emerging pop artist Addison Rae, best known for her TikTok origin, has announced her next single, “Aquamarine.”

While new to the music scene, Rae has been turning heads with her hits. The artist’s first single, “Obsessed” was released in 2021, followed by her 2023 EP AR. Her EP included five songs: “I got it bad,” “2 die 4 feat. Charli xcx,” “Nothing On (But The Radio),” “it could’ve been u,” and “Obsessed.”

Before releasing her newest single “Diet Pepsi,” Rae was featured on track six of Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat, “Von dutch a. g. cook remix featuring addison rae.”

Her most recent release, “Diet Pepsi,” has been her biggest hit yet. Despite only being released in August, the single already has over 119 million streams on Spotify. The song’s instant success has only increased fans’ anticipation for a new album.

Although a newer artist, Rae already has played in iconic venues. She recently joined Charli xcx and Troye Sivan on the “Sweat Tour,” performing her hit song at the sold-out show at Madison Square Garden. The singer currently has over 15 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and her skyrocketing popularity really shows that she is “2 die 4.”

“Aquamarine” was announced this week and will be released on Friday, October 25. The singer first teased “Aquamarine” back in June, with a clip of her swimming set to a short piece of the song. She then mentioned it again in July with an Instagram post captioned “I feel like aquamarine.”

Since then, she has posted pictures of characters from the 2006 film of the same name on her Instagram story and appeared at events wearing blue. Rae also mentioned the upcoming single in the caption of her “Diet Pepsi” music video, stating, “Addison Rae will return in Aquamarine…”

“Aquamarine” is currently available to pre-save on Spotify and pre-add on Apple Music here.
