Kylie Jenner stuns on the latest cover of ELLE Magazine, where the beauty mogul opens up in a personal interview, discussing motherhood, friendship, fashion, and more.

At 27, Jenner has been in the public eye for most of her life, having grown up with a famous athlete for a father and starting her journey on the hit reality series Keeping Up With The Kardashians at just 9 years old. In her interview with ELLE, she shared that she couldn’t recall her life any other way before fame.

“I just don’t know what it would’ve been like otherwise; fame is just something I’ve learned to grow up with or grow up in,” she stated.

With such a high-profile platform comes the risk of public fallouts. She experienced this firsthand when her longtime friendship with Jordyn Woods unraveled after an incident involving NBA star Tristan Thompson, who was dating her sister Khloé Kardashian at the time. Although Jenner and Woods have since reconnected, the star reflects on that period as a lonely time in her life.

“I was heartbroken when it happened, we’ve always tried to talk through things, so it’s never been a full cold-turkey cutoff; it was needed distance. Anytime something happened, good or bad, and I needed to call someone, it would always be her,” she told the outlet. “To lose that person felt really lonely, but I had to go through that. I learned so much, gained so much independence, and was there for myself. It helped me grow up a little bit.”

However, it wasn’t just her public relationships that captivated the masses; her “King Kylie” persona and iconic Tumblr presence took the internet by storm, becoming an online phenomenon. While she revealed that she’s back on Tumblr, she has since moved on from the “King Kylie” era, though she admits it will always remain a part of her.

“That era will always be a part of who I am, but it’ll never be what it was when I was younger. I probably would never wear lash extensions and thick eyebrows. There are just certain trends that I’ve grown out of,” she reminisced.
