This summer’s concert marked a major milestone in the singer’s career. Known for blending jazz with her unique compositions, the artist’s music has attracted a dedicated fan base drawn to her vintage sound and modern lyrics on heartbreak and relationships. Her Hollywood Bowl performance exemplified this, with the cellist captivating thousands.

“From the Start” singer announced the concert film via social media, writing on Instagram, “I cannot believe this is real… Laufey’s A Night At the Symphony: Hollywood Bowl is coming to cinemas.”

What distinguishes this movie from others is that the GRAMMY winner performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. Being able to sing “Valentine” and “Promise” with one of America’s most famous orchestras was “a dream of [hers and] is so meaningful.”

Directed by Sam Wrench, also the director of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, the film is expected to be well-received by critics and fans alike. Set to hit the big screen December 6, with tickets on sale October 30, “Lauvers” cannot wait to sing along with their favorite artist.

The concert film is just another achievement in the Bewitched performer’s resume. Earlier this year, the cellist won her first GRAMMY for best “Traditional Pop Vocal Album.” “I hope it’s music that provides people with an escape or some sort of feeling: whether that be comfort or happiness. That’s what really matters” she told NME.

This December release is poised to become a cherished experience for those who have followed the singer’s journey from a breakout artist to a star performing at the Bowl. As she continues redefining what it means to be a jazz artist in the modern era, this concert film serves as a celebration of her past achievements and bright future.
