Watch Billie Eilish Encourage Fans to Vote for Harris and Women’s Rights In New Concert Video
Billie Eilish took a moment during her recent concert in Atlanta to urge her fans to vote ahead of the upcoming presidential election. The singer paused her set to emphasize the importance of participating in this critical election.
Eilish is currently on the North American leg of her Hit Me Hard And Soft world tour, celebrating the success of her third album. One of the tour’s stops was in Atlanta, Georgia, where she dedicated time to discuss the significance of voting. Eilish spoke to her audience about what’s at stake in this election and the impact it could have on women’s rights.
“Times are really scary, and a lot is at stake. I know that if you’re in this room and you support me, you support women, and I hope that you will vote for Kamala Harris,” Eilish urged. This isn’t the first time the artist has spoken about the election; she previously endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris on social media.
The singer emphasized the election’s impact on women’s rights, calling a vote for Harris a vote to protect these rights. “Look at all the women in here. Let them know that you care about them, and f—ing give a f–k about them, Jesus Christ. I’m not going to keep going, but I just really implore you to get out there and vote because it really, really matters. This is such an important time for us,” she added.
The singer’s initial endorsement of Harris back in September highlighted her dedication to protecting reproductive rights. Abortion rights are a central issue in the upcoming election, with discussions focused on whether they will remain accessible nationwide. In a video shared with her brother, Eilish expressed her support for Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz, stating, “They are fighting to protect our reproductive freedom, our planet, and our democracy.”
Harris’s campaign has embraced Eilish’s vocal support, featuring her music in campaign videos. One ad included Eilish’s single “When the Party’s Over,” underscoring the effects of Roe v. Wade’s reversal. Harris has centered her campaign around the protection of every woman’s right to choose, ensuring they have access to life-saving care.
Eilish shared that she would “feel safe as a woman” in the United States if Harris is elected, stressing that the upcoming vote is the “most important election of all time.”
