Kathryn Hahn Votes to Reject Project 2025 in New Video
Kathryn Hahn is voicing her support for presidential candidate Kamala Harris and voting against Project 2025. In a newly shared video, the actress encourages fans to vote.
While Kathryn Hahn is currently receiving praise for her performance in Agatha All Along, the actress is also urging her fans to vote. In a video recently shared to social media, she educates the audience about Project 2025. Listing a series of damaging effects and policies that would be enacted, Hahn is asserting her stance this election. “So that’s why I’m voting to reject Project 2025 on November 5, and I’m urging you to do the same,” she states in the video.
For those who have never heard of “Project 2025,” here is a brief explanation from the conservative textbook. Project 2025 essentially provides a roadmap for “the next conservative president,” but it arrives with numerous limitations on Americans’ essential rights and freedoms.
Several chapters include how to downsize the federal government and change how every system works. Those systems include but are not limited to, tax systems, immigration enforcement, social welfare policies, and even energy policies designed to combat climate change.
While former president Donald J. Trump denies any ties to the project, several well-known aides to the former president are credited with writing and funding the project. One of the largest and most damaging proposals of the project includes the topic of abortion.
Vice President Kamala Harris is a huge proponent of the topic of abortion and wants to ensure every woman has the right to choose, no matter the situation. Meanwhile, Project 2025 calls for an end to federal funding for all Planned Parenthood centers, even blocking abortion pills sent via mail.
Hahn also noted abortion in her video, explaining abortion and other forms of healthcare are at risk for Americans. “For starters, it’s calling for eliminating no-cost childcare for hundreds and thousands of families. It’s calling for making healthcare more expensive for families and banning abortion nationwide.”
“And if you don’t think this can happen, remember the nearly two dozen states that already banned or extremely restricted access to abortion,” she added.
This is not the first time Hahn has been vocal about her support and stance in the election. Around Halloween, she participated in “Call-O-Ween,” an effort to spread education and garner more voting support for districts. Swing states were also included in the effort, as they are essentially the make-or-break for the upcoming election. Swing Left is behind the mission, assisting voters in making progress on issues they care about.
