Kesha Takes Fans on ‘JOYRIDE’ in New Music Video
Kesha has released the music video for her latest single, “JOYRIDE,” the first song released from her own label after parting ways with Dr. Luke.
After releasing “JOYRIDE” on Independence Day, which marked a significant moment in Kesha’s career where she can now create, release, and own her music independently, the singer has also released the music video, and fans love it. Reaching number 26 on YouTube’s Trending, Kesha Records has presented viewers with a powerfully action-packed music video where she takes her enemies on a joyride and evades them.
With the label “Kesha is Mother,” the “Praying” singer runs away from assassins like the Yippie & The Kiyays, Sadie The Stabbers & The Crazyboys, Rowdy Ricky & The Red Flags, and Derk Delusional The One to Outrun. As they all chase her with a helicopter, weaponry, and a couple of police cars, she wears a gorgeous red and black leather outfit with a cropped Alpinestars sports jacket.
After successfully running away from enemies, the video ends with her driving eye-to-eye, staring at Derk Delusional, who stands shirtless with a firearm, almost hesitant to fire it at her. Her final encounter with him is meant to hint at “Delusional,” an upcoming single she recently announced that will be released on November 29.
Shortly after releasing “JOYRIDE” in July, Kesha sat down with ELLE to discuss her future goals after her newfound freedom. “The music industry should be f***ing terrified of me,” stated the singer. “I really want to dismantle it piece by piece and shine light into every corner. I hope my legacy is making sure it never happens to anybody ever again.”
There is only one week left before Kesha releases her next single, “Delusional,” which fans eagerly await.
