Sabrina Carpenter Receives Multiple New Nominations for Billboard Music Awards

Sabrina Carpenter is bringing the sweetness this awards season. In her debut for the Billboard Music Awards, she lands a whopping nine nominations.

After a successful year from touring to headlining festivals, with the addition of a brand new album and aesthetic, Carpenter is smashing records when it comes to music awards. From critical acclaim and widespread success of her latest album Short n’ Sweet, Carpenter is a top contender across multiple award platforms.

Although, this is her very first time ever being considered or recognized by the Billboard Music Awards. As the artist made a powerful comeback to pop music this year, everyone took notice, including Billboard. For her debut in their nomination categories, she has secured nine nominations. The most for a first-time nominee, Carpenter is up for several awards including ‘Top Female Artist’ and ‘Top Artist.’

While Carpenter has been in the music industry for ten years, she is finally receiving praise for her pop album infused with a combination of country, disco, and rock influences. Her sixth studio album is even a top contender for several Grammy awards, surpassing platinum status.

Besides her nine nominations, Carpenter is also a leading finalist alongside fellow nominee and friend Taylor Swift. The pair have performed together several times, with Carpenter gaining more recognition as an artist when opening for Swift’s tour. Other finalists for the Billboard Music Awards include Zach Bryan and Morgan Wallen.
