Disney’s beloved Snow White is coming to life like never before. Set to arrive in theaters on March 21, 2025, this live-action adaptation promises to reimagine the timeless tale of “the fairest of them all.”

Ever since its announcement at Disney’s D23 Expo this past summer, anticipation for Snow White has been building. The original 1937 animated musical marked the beginning of Disney’s iconic princess legacy, and the story has since inspired countless retellings. Now, Disney is taking on the challenge of transforming its first animated classic into a live-action spectacle. Following in the footsteps of other iconic princesses such as Cinderella, Belle, Mulan, and Jasmine, Snow White is the latest to make the leap to live-action.

Rachel Zegler stars as the titular Snow White, while Gal Gadot steps into the role of the Evil Queen. The trailer showcases both actresses in stunning recreations of their animated counterparts’ iconic costumes. Zegler’s polished and elegant vocals shine throughout the trailer, especially in a moment where she discovers the enchanting magic of the woods.

Gal Gadot’s portrayal of the Evil Queen is particularly captivating, delivering an authentic and chilling performance. A highlight of the trailer is her conversation with the magic mirror, eerily reminiscent of the animated classic, complete with its familiar theater mask design. The Queen’s haunting question, “Who is the fairest of them all?” sets the tone for the ultimate rivalry.

The trailer also follows Snow White’s escape into the woods, where she stumbles upon a quaint cottage. Unbeknownst to her, the seven dwarves reside there, and the moment they meet is full of surprise and charm. The dwarves are later seen riding their mine train through glittering caves, uncovering treasures and embarking on daring adventures to protect them.

While the film stays true to its roots, the live-action adaptation expands on the original story and music. The trailer introduces “Waiting on a Wish,” a brand-new power ballad from EGOT-winning duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, best known for their work on The Greatest Showman. The song adds a fresh yet familiar touch to the movie’s magical atmosphere.

The trailer closes with a dramatic tease of one of the story’s most pivotal moments. The Evil Queen, disguised in her older, more sinister form, offers Snow White the infamous poisoned apple. In this climactic battle of wits and beauty, the question looms: Will Snow White’s fate mirror that of her animated predecessor, or will this retelling hold unexpected surprises?
