Tate McRae has stirred excitement among fans, releasing a new promo video for her upcoming third album, So Close To What.

Scheduled for release on February 21, 2025, So Close To What marks a significant milestone in the singer-songwriter’s career. The video showcases a lot of retro imagery while driving down a highway. As the car radio switches between different tracks on the album like “Dear God” and “Revolving Door,” the video finally ends with the album title.

The promo comes alongside the announcement of McRae’s 2025 MISS POSSESSIVE tour. Set to be a world tour, the “Greedy” singer will perform in places like Europe, North America, South America, and the UK. Notable opening acts include BENEE for the European leg and Zara Larson for North America. Tickets have already gone on sale, and multiple venues have been sold out, with fans gearing up for an electrifying concert experience next year.

She has released one track from this upcoming album, “2 Hands.” First put onto digital platforms in early November, “2 Hands” had been teased by the singer multiple times on social media. The accompanying music video follows So Close To What‘s theme, with a lot of old-school imagery.

The anticipation surrounding So Close To What highlights the performer’s evolution as an artist. When asked to comment on her newest album, the “It’s Ok I’m Ok” singer asserted, “I think fans are going to get to see me as a more complex person in this next project. It’s definitely my most vulnerable project yet and I could not be more excited.”

It’s safe to say this new music is exactly what fans need, and listeners are poised to embrace this next chapter of the singer’s journey.
