Keoghan has been a hot topic online since People Magazine confirmed his relationship with the pop star, igniting a flood of theories about what happened between the two. In a statement shared on X, the actor condemned online trolls, describing the harassment he has endured as “inhumane.”
“The messages I have received no person should ever have to read them. Absolute lies, hatred, disgusting commentary about my appearance, character, how I am as a parent and every other inhumane thing you can imagine,” the actor wrote.
He revealed that the online harassment has escalated to people sitting outside the home of his son, Brando, whom he shares with Alyson Sandro. Keoghan condemned these actions as inappropriate while defending his role as a father.
“Each and every day I work harder to push myself on every level to be the healthiest and strongest person for that boy. I want to provide opportunities for him to learn, fail and grow. I want him to be able to look up to his daddy, to have full trust in me and know I will have his back no matter what,” Keoghan wrote on X.
The Saltburn star shared that the attacks have also targeted his mother and grandmother, as online harassment against him continues to escalate.
“Dragging my character and everything I worked extremely hard for and stand for. Talking about how I was a heroine baby and how I grew up and dragging my dear mother into it also. Knocking on my grannies door,” he continued.
He called for the internet to be respectful during this time and to remember his son will have access to these stories one day.
