Beyoncé Releases New Teaser for Upcoming Christmas Halftime Show
Beyoncé has once again caused a stir amongst the Beyhive and football fans by releasing the new teaser for the NFL Christmas halftime show. On December 11, Netflix posted the teaser for the performance on their social media.
The streaming service plans to stream two football matches live on December 25. The first game will air at 1:00 P.M. Kansas City Chiefs and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Game two between the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens will begin at 4:30 P.M.
The native Houstonian will perform a set from her recently released country album, Cowboy Carter. This will be her first time performing her songs from the album since its release. Even though the details of the performance are scarce, it has been stated that the pop singer will have notable guest performers who were featured on her country album.
The country album and its leading singles have been racking Grammy nominations for the 2025 Grammys. The country album has been nominated for Album of the Year, and the single “Texas Hold Em,” has been nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. The performance will be Queen Bey’s third time performing at the NFL halftime show since her last two halftime shows during the Superbowl in 2013 and 2016.
The teaser for the performance presents the star lighting up a cactus while wearing a massive cowboy hat accompanied by a furry coat and collar of diamonds while fanfare is heard in the background. The next scene shows the title card announcing the performance, kickoff game, and game time, which is 4:30 P.M.
In May, Netflix announced a signed deal with the NFL to live stream football games until 2026 to branch out into the sports genre for the streaming service and reach a foreign audience for the NFL.
There will be more updates on the Christmas halftime show soon. The Texans vs. Ravens football game will be streamed on Netflix on December 25 at 4:30 P.M.
