Spotted: The Most Iconic 2000s Teen Drama Reunion at the Golden Globes
Spotted at the 2025 Golden Globes at the Beverly Hilton Hotel was an iconic reunion of beloved 2000s teen drama characters. Fans were abuzz as they saw Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl), husband Adam Brody (The O.C.), and Sebastian Stan (Gossip Girl) sitting within feet of one another at Sunday night’s ceremony.
The actor took home the award for Lead Actor in a Comedy or Musical for his role in the film A Different Man. When announced the winner, Meester, who dated Stan from 2008 to 2010, applauded the actor’s new accolade.
During his press tour for The Apprentice, the star reminisced on his former relationship, calling it “The first time I was in serious love with somebody…Walking around the city, seeing these same buildings and streets—life seemed simpler.”
Although he detailed the film as a tough one to make, he reiterated, “Our ignorance and discomfort around disability and disfigurement has to end now.”
Later on in the evening, Chace Crawford, who portrayed Nate Archibald in The CW series, joined Stan to celebrate his big win.

Brody, on the other hand, was up for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series—Musical or Comedy—for his work in Netflix’s hit, Nobody Wants This. Who else starred in the Netflix series? Kristen Bell, a.k.a., the voice of Gossip Girl herself— yes, she was in attendance and nominated for the series as well.
The couple graced the carpet in coordinating outfits, which Brody told E! News was “more than a happy accident, but it wasn’t that premeditated either. We both chose what we wanted, and what we wanted was to go together.”
Gossip Girl followed the lives of insanely wealthy teenagers as they concocted adult-like schemes all throughout Manhattan’s Upper East Side. In six seasons, the series brought fans iconic outfits, locations, and lines– “three words, eight letters.” The O.C. followed the same themes on the other side of the country in California. Josh Schwartz, who created both titles, set the tone for teen series to come and make for popular streaming staples today.
Fans loved the slight trip down memory lane, and despite having been a reboot for Gossip Girl in 2021, viewers still hope to see a full-cast reboot in the near future.
In the meantime, Gossip Girl and The O.C. are available to stream on MAX.
