Many Hollywood stars were forced to evacuate their homes as a series of wildfires spread across Palisades, Los Angeles, and surrounding regions.

Among the more than 80,000 people displaced were celebrities, many of whom have called the area home for decades. Some include Leighton Meester and Adam Brody, Paris Hilton, Eugene Levy, Mandy Moore, and Milo Ventimiglia.

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton posted a video on Instagram of what used to be a beachfront house in Malibu, California.

“I’m standing here in what used to be our home, and the heartbreak is truly indescribable,” the mother of two wrote. “What breaks my heart even more is knowing that this isn’t just my story. So many people have lost everything. It’s not just walls and roofs—it’s the memories that made those houses homes.”

Leighton Meester and Adam Brody

Adam Brody and Leighton Meester’s lavish $6.5 million Los Angeles property also burned down. The couple, who have been married for 10 years, lost their Pacific Palisades home that they share with their two children. However, they have not commented on this tragic loss.

Eugene Levy

Actor Eugene Levy got stuck in traffic due to other residents evacuating their homes following the wildfire. “The smoke looked pretty black and intense over Temescal Canyon,” the American Pie star revealed. “I couldn’t see any flames, but the smoke was very dark.”

It was later revealed that Levy’s house did not survive the massive fire.

His son, Dan Levy, posted to Instagram, “Heartbroken for my family, my friends, and the people of L.A. affected by these catastrophic fires.”

Mandy Moore

This Is Us actor Mandy Moore posted videos of her still-burning neighborhood on Instagram earlier this week.

“I love you, Altadena. Grateful for my family and pets getting out last night before it was too late,” wrote Moore. It was not immediately clear whether Moore’s personal home was destroyed.

However, later this week, the actor shared devastating pictures of her house burnt down. “We were able to park and walk up our street to bear witness to all the loss. Miraculously, the main part of our house is still standing. For now. It’s not livable but mostly intact,” she continued.

Milo Ventimiglia

Milo Ventimiglia fought back tears visiting the remains of his Malibu home. The 47-year-old actor and his pregnant wife, Jarah Mariano, were forced to evacuate their home on Tuesday after their neighborhood was in the path of the Palisades fire, which has burned nearly 20,000 acres.

He told CBS News, “You start thinking about all the memories and the different parts of the house and whatnot, and then you see your neighbors’ houses and everything around, and your heart just breaks.”

Ventimiglia, whose character on This Is Us also ironically lost his home in a fire, fled along with his wife and watched on security cameras as flames engulfed their home.
