Mason Gooding and Olivia Holt Star in New Film Heart Eyes

The official teaser for Heart Eyes, the highly anticipated film starring Olivia Holt (Cruel Summer) and Mason Gooding (Scream), is out and generating buzz. The romantic thriller is set to debut in theaters on February 7.

Seven days before Valentine’s Day in Seattle, a coffee mix-up leads to a date that quickly spirals into a fatal tale of love and survival. Based on the trailer recently released by Sony Pictures, Heart Eyes is a twisted love letter to the romance and horror genres. Produced by the same team that brought us Scream, the film is set to have the heart-pounding thrills fans love.

According to the teaser, Gooding and Holt’s characters are coworkers who are mistaken for an actual couple by the deranged Heart Eye Killer, leaving them no room for second chances.

Adding to the excitement, Heart Eyes features stars like Jordana Brewster, Gigi Zumbado, and Devon Sawa, who each bring their unique charm to the thriller. Filmed in New Zealand in June 2024, the project boasts stunning visuals and gripping tension, masterfully captured by cinematographer Stephen Murphy.

Heart Eyes director Josh Ruben stated, “My love of horror is rivaled only by my love of romantic comedies. I’m excited as hell to mount my most challenging genre-bender to date: a brutal slasher in a nostalgic rom-com universe.”

With sharp wit, pounding scares, and the cheeky warning to “Stay single, stay safe,” Heart Eyes promises a rollercoaster of emotions.
