‘APT’ Singer Rosé Making History on the Billboard 200
Rosé has just made history on the Billboard 200, achieving a groundbreaking milestone that solidifies her status as a global music icon. Billboard has honored Rosé with this achievement due to her current album, Rosie, being the longest-charting album by a K-Pop female soloist, for over six weeks.

This is a big achievement for Rosé; not only is it a first in U.S. pop history but it’s also a first in K-pop history. The Billboard 200 is a weekly ranking of the most popular albums in the United States. Back in 1956, the chart initially used to recognize 10 albums but quickly grew to 200 in May of 1967. The Billboard 200 is currently owned by Penske Media Corporation (PMC) and is published weekly, with music and entertainment news, followed by millions.
Rosé made headlines on Billboard 200 on December 16, 2024, when her album made the top 3. Six weeks later her album Rosie is still standing strong at No. 3. She was originally a member of the K-pop group BLACKPINK, which made history in the U.S. with their song “Pink Venom,” released in 2022. After performing with the all-girls group for several years, Rosé decided to release solo albums on the side. Though she is still with BLACKPINK, Rosé gained popularity as a soloist when she collaborated with Bruno Mars on the hit song “APT” in 2024. With “APT” growing in popularity, Rosé was working on her album.
Right before the New Year, Rosé released her album Rosie on December 6th, 2024. The rest is history, as her album topped charts around the world.
