Brody Jenner Shares on New Family Dynamics
Brody Jenner revealed that he doesn’t see his sisters often, as well as his other family members.
During an appearance on Nick Viall’s podcast, The Viall Files Brody opened up on his relationship with his famous family. He revealed, “I love them all to death, I just don’t see them.” To provide context, he is one of the two sons of Caitlyn Jenner and ex Linda Thompson. After Caitlyn (formerly Bruce) divorced from Thompson, she remarried Kris Jenner. Kris already had three daughters with former husband Robert Kardashian: Kim, Kourtney, and Khloé. Together, Kris and Caitlyn welcomed two daughters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, making Brody their half brother.
Explaining the reasons behind the family’s distance, Jenner explained, “Kim’s busy, Kourtney’s busy,” briefly adding, “I saw them recently for Caitlyn’s birthday.”
“Everybody’s busy,” he added. “They’re doing their own thing.” Additionally, he implied that he was never that close with the Kardashians growing up. “We didn’t grow up in the same household, so it’s not like it’s any different, but when we do see each other, it’s like no time has passed,” he commented.
Furthermore, on his bond with Kendall and Kylie, he commented, “We are close, but we’re not, like,calling each other every day…but if Kylie or Kendall were to call me right now, I would walk out of this room and pick up the phone. I would be there for them.”
Meanwhile, Jenner created a family of his own. In July 2023, he welcomed his first child, Honey Raye, with fiancée Tia Blanco. Reflecting on this new chapter, he shared that having a family of his own helped him let go of past trauma, specifically, Caitlyn Jenner’s absence during his childhood. He added, “I have a family, I’m over it, I don’t need that relationship that at once I felt like I really needed.”
Brody is now focused on being the best dad possible for Honey and continues to see his family occasionally.
