Ariana Grande Shocks Fans With New Hair Color at Airport
Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe: is it possible that Ariana Grande is no longer blonde? New photos of Grande at the Miami Airport suggest she may be going back to her natural brunette.
It’s been two years since fans last saw Grande as the brunette pop star they know and love. Grande dyed her hair and eyebrows blonde in October 2022 for her role as Glinda in the film adaptation of Wicked.
Grande debuted a darker shade of blonde at the 2025 Golden Globes, but the look was still noticeably lighter than her “Thank U, Next” days.
The debate over her hair color on social media has revealed that many fans have obvious preferences in her appearance. While some like the new blonde look, others are begging the actress to “return to the dark hair side.”

Idk but it's so annoying fans wanting to obligate Ariana Grande to keep her hair brown, she looks beautiful in both blonde and brown hair anyways pic.twitter.com/GcS0GClZQU

Some of the airport photos show the singer in a baseball cap with a mini bun that appears dark brown. Other photos show her in a hat that covers the bun, leaving no hair exposed.

As the speculation on social media continues to spiral, some fans are attributing the appearance of her hair to the lighting in the photo.

The conversation about Grande’s hair reflects how changes in her appearance have impacted her public image and fan engagement. The R.E.M. Beauty founder began her career with bold red hair as Cat Valentine on Victorious in 2010. Since then, her hair color and style have fluctuated greatly.
One of her most iconic looks has been the long high pony she began wearing in 2013 and has consistently come back to over the years. A staple in her pop star persona, Grande has showcased the high pony with bangs, braids and a plethora of hair colors.
While we haven’t seen the long high pony in a while, maybe the return to brunette is the first indication that this look will be making a comeback soon.
Nominated for both an Oscar and a Grammy, fans will find out Grande’s chosen hair color at her next red carpet appearance this award season. No matter the hairstyle or shade, her look will surely be popular.
